On June 17, the Sejong City Office of Education School Support Headquarters and the World Vision Daejeon Sejong Chungnam Business Headquarters signed a business agreement to strengthen student-customized integrated support and the educational welfare safety net.

The agreement ceremony was attended by 12 representatives from both organizations, including Lee Mija, Head of the School Support Headquarters, and Kang Eunhee, Head of the World Vision Headquarters. The main points of the agreement include: ▲ customized support for students from educationally disadvantaged backgrounds; ▲ development and information sharing of programs to promote student welfare support; and ▲ identification of additional areas for cooperation.

The funds secured through this agreement will be used to provide various types of customized support?such as living expenses, caregiving, and future planning?of up to 3 million KRW per student (for a total of 10 students), in line with the purpose of integrated student support to comprehensively address issues that hinder students’ participation in learning, particularly for those who face academic challenges due to family caregiving responsibilities.

Lee Mija, Head of the School Support Headquarters, stated, “This will be a great source of strength for caregiving youth who are looking after parents, grandparents, or other family members, helping them to dream of their future and grow up healthy. We will continue to strengthen customized integrated support for students by collaborating with various organizations.”

Kang Eunhee, Head of the World Vision Headquarters, said, “This will serve as an important opportunity not only for cooperation between the two organizations, but also to help children dream freely and live the lives they desire.”
