Since June 3, Chuncheon City has been conducting educational sessions for kindergartens and daycare centers in the Chuncheon area. The program provides basic education on animal protection and respect for life, as well as easy-to-understand instructions on "petiquette" practices that must be observed in public places, such as handling pet waste during walks and using leashes. This initiative aims to expand character education for children and to help the next generation grow into responsible pet owners.

For this program, a professional instructor will visit 23 daycare centers and kindergartens, conducting a total of 58 classes. Approximately 978 children are expected to complete the course.

In response to the increasing number of households with companion animals, Chuncheon City has continuously provided various companion animal education programs and events since 2020 to prevent issues such as lost or abandoned animals and conflicts between neighbors.

Park Byungsoo, head of the Livestock Division, stated, "We will continue our efforts to improve awareness of companion animals and to promote a healthy companion animal culture."
