PolarisAI Signs Domestic Partnership with US Axon Enterprise for Body Cameras and Evidence Management System

On June 17, PolarisAI announced that it has entered into a domestic partnership with Axon Enterprise (hereafter "Axon"), a global leader in public safety technology based in the United States, and will begin full-scale implementation of body cameras and a Digital Evidence Management System (DEMS). Through this alliance, PolarisAI aims to accelerate the transformation of the domestic public safety and security management market.

Axon, which leads the global market in the fields of TASER devices and body cameras, is headquartered in Arizona, United States, and has experienced rapid growth since its listing on NASDAQ in 2001. The company is pioneering new areas with digital security solutions that integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud technologies. As of January, Axon's market capitalization stood at $44 billion, and its products are supplied to 2,076 organizations in 97 countries worldwide. Recently, Axon has been pursuing a strategy to expand its revenue share from the U.S. market to the global market.

Since introducing the 112 automated dispatch system in 1997, PolarisAI has earned the trust of major public institutions such as the National Police Agency and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety by standardizing and integrating the nationwide 112 system, advancing its development, and building various specialized communication systems including disaster safety communication networks and airport digital TRS (trunked radio systems).

In practice, Axon's solutions have proven their performance and reliability through adoption by major agencies such as the New York Police Department, London Metropolitan Police, and Australian Police. Notably, Axon Evidence has acquired both the U.S. Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) security standard and the international ISO 27001 certification, which means it fully meets legal and security requirements for adoption by domestic public institutions.

This partnership is drawing significant attention in terms of policy connectivity and public R&D scalability, as it aligns with core government initiatives such as the "Digital Platform Government," "Smart Policing," and "AI-Driven Police System Advancement." There are high expectations that the collaboration between PolarisAI and Axon will drive innovative changes in Korea's public safety and security infrastructure.

With this agreement, PolarisAI plans to accelerate business diversification based on Axon's innovative products. Beyond simple hardware supply, the company intends to establish an "AI-based integrated public safety platform" in Korea, combining advanced technologies such as cloud-based digital evidence storage, AI-powered analysis, and automated reporting.

In particular, for the digital evidence management system sector, the strategy is to secure a stable revenue base by introducing a subscription-based service model that provides cloud platforms to public organizations such as the National Police Agency and the National Fire Agency.

Looking ahead, PolarisAI plans to further expand its business scope by gradually introducing Axon's comprehensive public safety solutions to the domestic market, including in-vehicle video management systems (Axon Fleet), drone operation solutions (Axon Air), AI-automated reporting (Axon Records), and AI-based smart dispatch command (Axon Dispatch).

PolarisAI Vice President Byun Jiwoong stated, "Korea is a market with advanced ICT infrastructure and a world-class public safety environment. Based on our strategic cooperation with Axon, we will expand our partnership to cover all areas of public safety, including police, corrections, fire, and railway security."

He added, "By combining the public sector ICT capabilities we have accumulated over 25 years with Axon's global technological competitiveness, we will realize a future-oriented model of an AI-powered public safety ecosystem in Korea."

Meanwhile, PolarisAI recently changed its corporate name to reflect a future-oriented vision and is pursuing the expansion of a hardware-software integrated ecosystem based on AI technology as a core strategy.
