Expansion of Dedicated Organization for Future Growth Business
Supporting Domestic Brands' Overseas Expansion and Distributing Global Brands in Korea
On June 17, Lotte Homeshopping announced that it will fully launch its global distribution platform business. The company aims to support domestic small and medium-sized brands in developing global sales channels, while also expanding the domestic distribution of promising overseas brands.
Lotte Homeshopping is set to fully launch a bidirectional global distribution business encompassing the overseas export of K-brands and the domestic distribution of global brands. Provided by Lotte Homeshopping.
To this end, Lotte Homeshopping began acquiring domestic distribution rights and distributing overseas fashion brands last year. The company also significantly strengthened its dedicated overseas business organization to expand its export operations. K-brands are being established in global markets through a thorough localization strategy.
These efforts are already yielding results. The functional anti-hair loss shampoo "Gravity," which Lotte Homeshopping exports exclusively, sold out on May 22 on "Momo Homeshopping," Taiwan’s number one home shopping channel. Lotte Homeshopping plans to expand its export destinations in the second half of this year to countries such as Japan and Indonesia.
The fashion brand "Bybridge" also sold out its main sizes of linen shirts and pants on June 8 through "Shop Channel," Japan’s largest home shopping channel. The brand planner appeared on the broadcast to sincerely explain the product materials and usage, successfully earning the trust of local customers. Lotte Homeshopping plans to continue exporting outstanding domestic small and medium-sized brands to key markets in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East throughout the year.
The domestic distribution business for overseas fashion brands is also progressing smoothly. Earlier this year, the first regular store for the French outdoor brand "AIGLE," for which Lotte Homeshopping secured exclusive distribution rights last year, opened at Lotte Department Store Jamsil. With the rainy season approaching, the company plans to operate pop-up stores featuring the brand’s signature rain boots at three locations, starting with Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch on June 20. In April, Lotte Homeshopping also launched the global fashion online select shop "APTE," introducing seven global brands, including the French rainwear brand "Flotte" and the Italian eco-friendly fashion brand "Woof Wear." APTE’s average monthly sales have more than doubled compared to the launch month.
Lee Sangyong, head of the Brand Development Lab at Lotte Homeshopping, stated, "Lotte Homeshopping is strengthening its distribution capabilities in both directions, not only as a simple home shopping channel but also by exporting K-brands and distributing global brands domestically. Moving forward, we will continue to enhance our competitiveness as a global distribution platform and expand our role as a key channel connecting domestic and overseas markets."
