23 Korean Nationals Evacuate from Israel to Neighboring Jordan with Support from Korean Association

Korean nationals residing in Israel have evacuated to neighboring countries.

According to the Korean Association in Israel on June 16 (local time), 23 Korean nationals who applied for evacuation on this day safely entered Jordan using a chartered bus arranged by the association. The Korean Embassy in Israel supported the cost of chartering the bus and provided an escort for the travel route.

The association had announced the evacuation plan to Jordan through an emergency notice the previous day. The evacuated nationals plan to stay for 7 to 10 days in accommodations prepared by the Korean Association in Jordan, and will decide on returning depending on the situation.

Meanwhile, since June 13, armed clashes between Israel and Iran have continued, and due to the closure of Israeli airspace, mass evacuation by airplane has reportedly become difficult.

Companies such as Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, which have sales corporations or branches in Israel, had already relocated all their expatriates and their families to Jordan over the weekend.
