on Thank You No. 30 and 33-1 Bus Routes

Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwangdeok) announced on June 16 that, starting from July 1, it will newly introduce and add chartered vehicles to improve commuting convenience for residents of Byeollae-dong Complex 5 and Cheonghak-ri in Byeollae-myeon.

Since the opening of the Byeollae Line subway in August last year, Namyangju City shortened the interval between buses by more than 10 minutes compared to before by reorganizing the route of the Thank You No. 30 bus to improve access to Byeollae Station. However, complaints have continued to be raised due to buses being full during commuting hours.

In addition, the No. 33-1 village bus, which is used by 35% of Cheonghak-ri residents in Byeollae-myeon, operates with six regular vehicles and two chartered vehicles, making 94 round trips per day to and from Bulamsan Station in Nowon-gu. However, residents have been experiencing inconvenience due to the buses being full during commuting hours.

In response, the city decided to immediately deploy additional chartered buses on the Thank You No. 30 route, operating three times during morning commuting hours and three times during evening commuting hours between Cheonghak-ri and Byeollae Station.

Additionally, for the No. 33-1 route, the city plans to add two chartered vehicles during morning commuting hours to alleviate residents' inconvenience.

Joo Gwangdeok, Mayor of Namyangju City, stated, "Despite the budget burden, we decided to deploy chartered vehicles to resolve citizens' transportation inconveniences," adding, "We will continue to monitor the situation to ensure a happier commute for Namyangju residents."
