Jo Incheol to Serve as a 'State Affairs Partner' in the Lee Jaemyung Administration

Jo Incheol, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea representing Gwangju Seo-gu Gap, was appointed as a deputy floor leader of the ruling party's parliamentary leadership on June 15. This is the first parliamentary leadership formed since the launch of the Lee Jaemyung administration.

As this parliamentary leadership is the first ruling party leadership organized since the inauguration of the Lee Jaemyung administration, it plans to focus on supporting state affairs and swiftly advancing key livelihood and legislative agendas. The parliamentary leadership is composed of 16 deputy floor leaders selected evenly from each standing committee, with Kim Byungki serving as the floor leader.

On June 16, Jo Incheol stated, "The Lee Jaemyung administration is responding to the call of the people and moving swiftly from its very first day in office, determined not to miss the golden time for reforms that improve people's livelihoods. The Democratic Party will serve as a reliable partner supporting the policies the people desire, and I will also do my utmost, drawing on all my experience, to act quickly and assist."

Meanwhile, Jo Incheol has held key positions over 25 years of public service, including at the Presidential Office, the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and as Vice Mayor for Culture and Economy of Gwangju. During the 21st presidential election, he served as the head of the Planning and Finance Special Advisory Group directly under candidate Lee Jaemyung, establishing himself as an economic expert within the party.
