Dongbu Construction has surpassed a cumulative order intake of 1 trillion won in the first half of the year after winning the largest section?Section 1?of the 'Busan New Port?Gimhae Expressway' project.
On June 16, Dongbu Construction announced that it had secured Section 1 of the Busan New Port?Gimhae Expressway construction project, which was ordered by Korea Expressway Corporation through a comprehensive evaluation bidding system.

The total project cost is 1.4 trillion won, with Dongbu Construction responsible for Section 1, valued at 340 billion won. Dongbu Construction holds a 70% stake and serves as the lead contractor. Section 1 involves constructing a 6.86-kilometer, four-lane road from Songjeong-dong in Gangseo-gu, Busan to Suga-dong in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, including three tunnels, one bridge, and one underpass.
With this achievement, Dongbu Construction's cumulative order intake for this year has surpassed 1 trillion won. Previously, Dongbu Construction also participated as part of a consortium and secured an order for the Gyeyang?Ganghwa Expressway construction project last month.
A Dongbu Construction representative stated, "We believe this order is the result of our consistently recognized capabilities, based on our expertise and technological prowess in road construction." The representative added, "We plan to continue building a stable order base for high-quality domestic and international projects in the second half of the year, by actively responding to market changes and focusing on projects with high profitability and feasibility."
