Gyeonggi Fire Signs Agreement on Strengthening Fire Safety Management at Large Construction Sites on the 16th

The Gyeonggi Provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters signed a business agreement on the 16th with the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Instructor Association to strengthen fire safety management at large construction sites.


Under this agreement, the three organizations will cooperate in various areas, including: supporting safety inspections and preventive measures at construction sites; providing fire safety education and training for construction site personnel and workers; sharing information and jointly responding in the event of a disaster; conducting safety campaigns and promotional activities; and establishing systems to improve initial response capabilities.

In addition, Gyeonggi Fire will implement follow-up measures such as forming a regular consultative body, conducting on-site inspections to strengthen fire safety management at construction sites, and providing customized on-site training.


Kim Jaebyung, head of the Gyeonggi Provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "A fire at a construction site can lead to significant casualties due to minor negligence," and added, "Through this agreement, we will strengthen an integrated safety management system that connects the expertise and field experience of each organization to protect the lives and property of Gyeonggi residents."


Meanwhile, 20% of the nation's large construction sites are concentrated in Gyeonggi Province.
