From AI Self-Assessment to Advanced Consulting and Supply Chain Due Diligence
Full-Cycle ESG Support
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced on June 16 that it is recruiting companies to participate in the "2025 Large and Small Autonomous ESG Support Program" to help industrial complex tenant companies implement ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management and strengthen their capacity to respond to global supply chain demands.
This program is designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within industrial complexes at every stage, from the introduction to the advancement of ESG management. It was developed to enable companies to respond to the increasingly stringent ESG requirements in global supply chains.
The support program consists of three common tasks and three individual tasks. The common tasks are: ▲ ESG self-assessment using artificial intelligence (AI), ▲ ESG education and expert training, and ▲ performance evaluation and analysis. The individual tasks are: ▲ ESG management consulting, ▲ due diligence support for supply chain management, and ▲ advanced ESG consulting.
In particular, the program uses an AI-based ESG self-assessment system to diagnose the current status of participating companies and provides a full-cycle process that connects this diagnosis to customized consulting and advanced support. There are also supply chain due diligence and competency assessment programs specifically designed for export companies, partner companies, and industries responding to the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), which are at the center of global supply chain issues.
Eligible applicants include export companies, general SMEs, and tenant companies within industrial complexes. Any SME that meets the definition under Article 2 of the Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprises may apply. The ESG support program is funded by the Win-Win Growth Cooperation Fund contributed by the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation and by government subsidies, so there is no financial burden on participating companies.
Lee Sanghoon, President of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, stated, "ESG management has become a survival strategy and an essential competitive edge for SMEs. We will systematically support tenant companies in implementing ESG management through AI, consulting, education, and supply chain due diligence, so they can secure competitiveness in the global market."
