Information Session on June 18
Applications Accepted from July 1 to 3
Goheung County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced on June 16 that it will accept applications for tenants of its smart horticultural complex, which is expected to lead the way in smart agriculture, from July 1 to 3, following the public recruitment notice that will run until June 30.
The smart horticultural complex, currently under development in Gayari, Dodeok-myeon, Goheung County, covers approximately 11 hectares. The complex is being equipped with essential infrastructure such as land leveling, roads, electricity, and reservoirs. It consists of a total of 20 plots, each ranging from 0.3 to 0.5 hectares, and the project aims for completion in June 2026.
Eligible applicants are farmers who wish to lease the developed farmland and build new smart greenhouses. Anyone who is either a resident of Goheung County or able to move to Goheung County before signing the lease agreement is eligible to apply.
Farmers who wish to apply must visit the Agricultural Policy Division of Goheung County in person and submit the application form along with the required documents by July 3. The final tenants will be selected in August through a document review and interview evaluation. Selected tenants will then proceed with establishing greenhouse construction plans and signing lease agreements.
The county will hold an information session for prospective tenants of the smart horticultural complex at 3 p.m. on June 18 in the Smart Farm Innovation Valley conference room. The session will provide guidance on eligibility, qualification requirements, and the application process.
