In the first quarter, K-shipbuilding recorded $13.6 billion in orders, a 41.4% increase compared to the same period last year, reclaiming the top spot in global quarterly orders for the first time in three years. At the Hanwha Ocean Okpo Shipyard in Geoje, Gyeongnam, several LNG carriers are being built simultaneously, with lights on and night shifts continuing even at midnight.
