The National Gwangju Science Museum announced on June 16 that it has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Gwangju Tourism Organization to promote the spread of science culture and foster future scientific talent.
The signing ceremony was held that day in a conference room at the Kimdaejung Convention Center, with key officials from both organizations in attendance, including Lee Jeonggu, Director of the National Gwangju Science Museum, and Kim Jingang, President of the Gwangju Tourism Organization.
The agreement focuses on establishing a practical system of cooperation between the two organizations, sharing information and pursuing joint projects to promote science culture, and fostering science culture in the local community by linking exhibition and tourism content. In particular, the plan emphasizes the development and dissemination of content that integrates exhibitions and tourism.
Director Lee Jeonggu stated, "This agreement will serve as an opportunity to provide science culture content that combines exhibitions and tourism," adding, "We hope to provide science and technology information to citizens visiting Gwangju and contribute to nurturing creative future talent."
President Kim Jingang also commented, "By combining the Gwangju Tourism Organization's expertise in tourism content planning with the educational and exhibition resources of the National Gwangju Science Museum, we can create a regionally specialized science culture model," and added, "We will continue a variety of activities under our shared goals of spreading science culture and developing the tourism industry."
