To address the labor shortage in the root industry of the Incheon region, the '2025 Root Company Job Fair' will be held on June 23 at the Incheon Campus of Korea Polytechnics.
This job fair, now in its second year, is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Incheon City, Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP), and Korea Polytechnics Incheon Campus. It aims to resolve mismatches between root companies and job seekers.
Fifteen root companies from Incheon, specializing in various fields such as mold, casting, and heat treatment, will participate. Each company will operate its own booth, offering tailored recruitment consultations and on-site interviews. In addition, employment support organizations will provide career consulting services for job seekers.
Side events will include resume photo shoots, a Root Master VR experience zone, and MBTI type consulting.
Root companies are businesses that handle essential processes in manufacturing, such as welding, mold making, surface treatment, injection and press work, and precision and plastic forming.
An official from Incheon TP stated, "We will actively contribute to policy initiatives that create quality jobs, such as selecting and supporting companies with excellent youth employment, in order to ensure the continued development of the root industry."
