On June 16, Hanjin announced that President Johanmin Cho and CEO and President Samseok Noh visited the company’s European subsidiaries and major logistics hubs at the end of last month to inspect operations and reinforce partnerships with key business partners.

This marks the third overseas business site visit this year, following trips to Southeast Asia in February and North and Central America in April. The purpose was to diversify logistics services based in Europe and to review specific business strategies. The visit also reflected the recent increase in inquiries about logistics services, driven by the growing entry of K-brands into Europe and the rise in direct purchases from Europe.

The business inspection focused on strengthening logistics services and infrastructure to support the expansion of K-brands into Europe. Recognizing Europe as an emerging market for K-beauty, Hanjin’s management met with consulting firms that assist local market entry to discuss the essential requirements for efficiently handling orders. Based on these discussions, the company accelerated the development of customized logistics solutions and the establishment of local fulfillment centers for K-beauty brands.

Hanjin also sought to expand services based on air and forwarding logistics. In response to increasing demand for direct purchases from Europe, the company reviewed business diversification plans utilizing logistics hubs, such as air-linked road feeder services (RFS). To this end, Hanjin’s management visited key sites in the UK, Germany, and Austria to inspect operations with local handling companies.

Afterward, they visited the European subsidiary in Prague to review new business strategies and encourage employees. They also visited the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Czech Republic to discuss potential cooperation with the government to support Korean companies’ entry into Europe.

Hanjin plans to continue its global field management approach, with executives personally inspecting overseas business plans and establishing customized strategies that reflect the needs of local customers.

A Hanjin official stated, “Logistics demand from Korean companies targeting the European market is increasing. We plan to leverage Hanjin’s comprehensive logistics strengths, including the fulfillment operation expertise accumulated in the Americas, to provide optimized integrated logistics services for K-brand export companies at our European hubs.”
