Hana Bank Launches Event for First-Time Minor Customers

Hana Bank announced on June 16 that it will hold the "My Child's First Bank Account Starts with Hana!" event, offering prizes to parents of minors (aged 18 or younger) whose children are new customers opening their first account with Hana Bank. The event runs until July 6.

Through its main mobile application, "Hana OneQ," Hana Bank provides prizes to parents who, as legal representatives, open at least one new account in their child's name using the non-face-to-face account opening service "Create My Child's Account" and complete the event application. Participants can choose one of three prizes: a desktop fan popular among the MZ generation, a coupon for 10 cups of coffee, or a 10,000 KRW Insaengnecut voucher (including an album).

The "Create My Child's Account" service allows parents to easily open various accounts for their minor children via mobile without visiting a branch. Account types include savings, installment savings, housing subscription savings, and foreign currency accounts. Additionally, if the child is 12 years old or older, a debit card can also be applied for at the same time.

Furthermore, as a special benefit for minors, Hana Bank offers a "voucher for 20,000 Hana Money points" when parents, acting as legal representatives, newly open a housing subscription account for their child. This voucher (Young Hana Subscription Voucher) can be issued via the event page in the "Hana OneQ" mobile app or through the event page on "Hana Money," the lifestyle finance platform of Hana Financial Group.

A Hana Bank representative stated, "We are holding this event to welcome minor customers who will have their first financial experience through Hana Bank by offering prizes," adding, "We will continue to provide unique customer experiences through a variety of benefits for those opening their first account with Hana Bank."
