Gaining Practical Trade Experience
by Utilizing Major Language Skills
The GTEP Project Group for Regional Specialized Youth Trade Experts at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies is continuing to achieve results in field-oriented education by participating in major domestic and international industry exhibitions and engaging in practical trade activities based on their language expertise.
Students from the GTEP Project Group at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies participating in '2025 Cosmobeauty Seoul' held at COEX, Seoul From May 1 to 5, the GTEP Project Group at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies dispatched student Han Youkyung (Department of Chinese Interpretation and Translation, Class of 2022) to the '2025 Canton Fair' held in Guangzhou, China, in cooperation with Ritec Life Co., Ltd. Han Youkyung gained direct experience in the trade field by handling practical tasks such as communicating with local buyers and promoting products.
From May 27 to 31, the group participated in '2025 THAIFEX - Anuga Asia' held in Bangkok, Thailand, collaborating with Gatbawi Kim Co., Ltd. and Namdoaekkot Co., Ltd. Dispatched students supported consultations with buyers from various countries based on their language skills and contributed to the signing of export contracts, achieving tangible trade outcomes.
Furthermore, from May 28 to 30, the GTEP Project Group sent a total of 15 members in cooperation with seven companies to '2025 Cosmobeauty Seoul' held at COEX in Seoul. The participating students introduced products and provided interpretation services for buyers of various nationalities, gaining firsthand experience in practical sales and communication. Some members led export consultations with overseas buyers and achieved meaningful results by drawing out concrete cooperation proposals.
In addition, GTEP Project Group members expanded their activities by participating in consumer goods and living-related exhibitions such as the '68th MBC Architecture Expo' and '2025 Mega Show Season 1' held in Korea.
The GTEP Project Group at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies plans to continue participating in global trade exhibitions this month, including a consumer goods exhibition in Vietnam and Cosmoprof in Thailand. Through these activities, the group aims to steadily strengthen the field adaptability and global practical capabilities of young trade professionals.
