Dunamu Invests 14.8 Billion KRW in Information Security Last Year... 38.4 Billion KRW Invested Over 4 Years

Dunamu announced on the 16th that it invested approximately 14.8 billion KRW in the information security sector last year, continuing its trend of expanding security investments for the fourth consecutive year.

Since 2021, Dunamu has consistently increased both its annual investment in information security and the number of dedicated personnel. Dunamu's information security investment for 2024 amounts to approximately 14.8 billion KRW. This represents 9.6% of Dunamu's total information technology (IT) investment of 154.3 billion KRW. As of last year, the average proportion of information security investment among companies participating in information security disclosures was 6.1%.

Dunamu has steadily expanded the scale of its information security investments each year. The annual investment amounts were 5.7 billion KRW in 2021, 8.7 billion KRW in 2022, 9.2 billion KRW in 2023, and 14.8 billion KRW in 2024. The cumulative investment over the past four years totals 38.4 billion KRW.

The number of security personnel has also been continuously increasing. As of 2024, Dunamu employs 33.6 dedicated information security personnel, which is more than three times the 9.9 personnel in 2021. In particular, the number more than doubled from 13.3 in 2022 to 26.7 in 2023 within just one year.

Dunamu's proactive efforts in information security have also been recognized externally. In November of last year, Dunamu was selected as an outstanding institution for information security disclosure by the Ministry of Science and ICT and received a ministerial commendation.

Jung Jaeyong, Dunamu's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), stated, "In information security, actual competitiveness is determined not by how a company responds after an incident, but by how well it has prepared beforehand," adding, "We will continue to do our best to protect customer assets and provide trustworthy services."

Meanwhile, the information security disclosure system is a system in which companies voluntarily or mandatorily disclose the status of their security investments, personnel, and certifications. Dunamu has been participating in information security disclosures since 2022.
