Superintendent Taehee Lim Hopes Students Will Find Their Dreams Through Gyeonggi Shared School

Gyeonggi Province Superintendent of Education Taehee Lim encouraged the students by saying, "Even if you don't have a dream right now, I believe that if you gain diverse experiences and enjoy learning through the Gyeonggi Shared School, you will eventually be able to find your dream."

Superintendent Lim made these remarks on the 14th after visiting the complex cultural space "Seribak With Yongin" in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, and watching the career creative musical "Bold Buddy," in which students from the shared school participated.

This event, organized by the Yongin Office of Education, was part of the "Yongin Mirai Shared School 2.0" program.

The core elements of Yongin Mirai Shared School 2.0 are the solidification of the shared school platform in collaboration with schools, the advancement of programs in partnership with the local community, and career-specialized education linked to the curriculum. In particular, the contribution-based education model, which involves public, private, industrial, and academic institutions, provides high-quality educational content based on unique local resources.

The event featured a creative musical performance by 45 fifth- and sixth-grade students from elementary schools in Yongin, followed by a career lecture by Director Seri Park, a tour of the memorial hall, and hands-on experiences at the Yongin Mirai Shared School booth.

At the event, Superintendent Lim said, "Watching the career creative musical in which the students participated, I could feel that you truly enjoyed and had fun with it. Although the theme was golf, I believe you were able to experience and learn about not only cooperation, challenge, and musicals, but also many other things through the Gyeonggi Shared School."

He added, "I hope that our students, who have many things they want to do and become, will eventually discover their own path through the various experiences at the Gyeonggi Shared School and build their dreams upon it."
