Unconventional Vertical TV Commercial to Be Unveiled on June 17
AI service platform RYUTEN Technologies announced on June 15 that it has selected singer G-Dragon as its exclusive advertising model.
RYUTEN explained, "G-Dragon is a super icon who has led Korean pop culture with fresh boldness and new excitement, and this perfectly aligns with RYUTEN's vision of leading the era of AI popularization with fun and convenient services."
Starting June 17, G-Dragon will serve as the face of RYUTEN's brand campaign across all channels, including TV, online video services (OTT), the internet, social media (SNS), and outdoor advertising. According to industry sources, the advertising fee for this model contract is reportedly several billion KRW per year.
The TV commercial, set to be released on June 17, is characterized by its unconventional format that breaks traditional advertising conventions. It has been produced in a 'vertical' video style familiar to the mobile generation, featuring only G-Dragon's self-filmed footage and on-site audio, without any special background music or sound effects.
Last year, RYUTEN surpassed 5 million monthly active users. In March this year, the company secured 108 billion KRW in Series B funding, bringing its total accumulated investment to approximately 130 billion KRW. In a recent WiseApp Retail survey, RYUTEN ranked first among domestic corporate services as the "most used generative AI app by Koreans in May."
RYUTEN CEO Lee Seyoung stated, "This bold attempt through the advertising campaign in collaboration with G-Dragon symbolizes RYUTEN's innovative challenge to usher in an era where all 50 million Koreans have their own AI."
