Song, a veteran delivery driver with 15 years of experience who is responsible for Sandong-eup in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, discovered a man in his 30s exhibiting unusual behavior while wandering on Gumi Bridge during his commute to work on the 19th.

Observing the situation closely, Song immediately reported to the police as soon as he saw the man climbing onto the bridge railing. When the police arrived at the scene and tried to stop the man, he jumped off the bridge. Even after making the report, Song remained at the scene and provided information necessary for the rescue operation, such as the exact location and details of the situation. The 119 rescue team that was dispatched rescued the man and immediately transported him to the hospital.

Song said, "I sensed something was wrong when I saw him walking precariously on the bridge holding a bottle of alcohol," and added, "I'm relieved that I was able to save a precious life by reporting without hesitation."

CJ Logistics expressed the hope that Song's actions would not only be seen as a simple good deed, but would also present a new role for delivery drivers who are closely connected to the local community, and serve as an opportunity for citizens to have a more positive perception of delivery drivers.

A CJ Logistics official stated, "He played the role of a real-life hero by protecting not only the delivery of goods but also the safety and lives of citizens," and added, "We will continue our efforts so that delivery drivers can establish themselves as lifestyle logistics partners who make customers' lives safer and more convenient."
