The 4S store is scheduled to open in conjunction with the 2025 World Robot Conference, which will be held in Beijing Yizhuang from August 9 to 12. It has been reported that about 10 robot specialist companies have signed contracts to move into the world's first robot retail store.
The companies moving in include the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, manufacturer of 'Tiangong,' the winner of the humanoid robot half-marathon, as well as Zhiyuan Robot, UBTECH, Leju, and others.
The 4S store will not only sell robots, but will also provide parts replacement, repairs, and collect user feedback. The '4S' stands for Sale, Sparepart, Service, and Survey.

Until now, most sales channels for humanoid robots have been concentrated on online platforms. However, going forward, buyers will be able to visit the store in person to inspect the actual products and their performance before making a purchase.
With this year being seen as the inaugural year for the commercialization of humanoid robots, thousands of humanoid robots are expected to flood the Chinese market. Media outlets report that the opening of the 4S store is expected to establish Beijing as a global hub for the robot industry.
On April 19, the world's first humanoid robot marathon was held in Beijing, drawing significant attention to the growth of China's robotics sector.
