Special Stage at Traditional Market at 11 a.m. on the 15th
Damyang County, South Jeolla Province, announced on June 13 that the Jeollanam-do Jangteo Yulangdan performance will be held at the special stage of Changpyeong Market at 11 a.m. on June 15.
The Jangteo Yulangdan is a regular performance at traditional markets, organized by the Jeonnam Merchants Association and sponsored by Jeollanam-do. It was planned to revitalize the local economy and traditional markets.
This performance will feature a variety of programs, including nostalgic tightrope walking, Dongdonggurumu, Yeotjangsu Nori, Sottaetagi, comic storytelling, and traditional Korean opera. These events are expected to provide abundant enjoyment for both residents and tourists visiting the market.
An official from the county said, "This performance will offer market visitors a unique spectacle and a meaningful opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the past," adding, "We will continue to develop various programs to further invigorate traditional markets in the future."
