The ceremony, held on the 12th at the Pyeongtaek International Automobile Terminal, was attended by approximately 100 people, including KGM Chairman Kwak Jaeseon, CEO Hwang Kiyoung, Pyeongtaek Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries Director Do Kyungsik, and Pyeongtaek Customs Director Min Hee.
The shipment included a total of 983 vehicles: 184 units of the Musso EV and 799 units of the Torres HEV. These vehicles will be exported to Germany, Spain, Hungary, and Norway, with local sales scheduled to begin in August.
Chairman Kwak stated, “The new models were introduced at launch events in Germany and Italy earlier this year, attracting significant attention and receiving positive reviews. We expect them to serve as a driving force for expanding export volumes. Along with expanding our global market launches, we plan to further strengthen differentiated marketing strategies tailored to each country.”
He added, “As of the end of May, cumulative export performance has shown an upward trend compared to last year, which marked the highest level in a decade. With the full-scale start of Musso EV and Torres HEV exports, we anticipate export volumes will increase even further.”
Meanwhile, KGM plans to hold new product launch events for each vehicle model in overseas markets, in line with the global launch schedule, as exports of the Musso EV and Torres HEV gain momentum.
