Booyoung Group Conducts Safety Inspections at 15 Sites Nationwide Ahead of Rainy Season

Compliance with the Safety and Health Management System

Booyoung Group announced on June 13 that it will conduct safety inspections in preparation for the rainy season to create safer worksites. These inspections will take place at 15 sites nationwide from June 10 to 17.

This summer, heavy rainfall is expected to begin as early as June, coinciding with the start of the rainy season. In response, Booyoung Group has taken proactive measures to address potential risks such as ground subsidence and collapse that may occur due to torrential rains during the rainy season.

To prevent safety accidents, Booyoung Group is inspecting 15 sites?including Jinhae Dudong, Gimcheon Innovation, and Gwangju-Jeonnam Innovation?according to the safety and health management system manual established by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.

The main inspection items cover 118 criteria, including vulnerabilities during the rainy season, implementation of the safety and health management system, technical aspects of safety and health management, and compliance with the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.

A Booyoung Group representative stated, "Above all, the safety of our workers is most important," and added, "We will strive to prepare for the early rainy season by conducting safety inspections based on close communication between our sites and headquarters."

For its 2025 safety and health management policy, Booyoung Group has established the goal of "Establishing a safety-first culture by complying with laws and regulations, starting with myself, right now." In addition, the company has formulated specific action plans focusing on three main objectives: establishing a smart safety and health management system, achieving zero (0) serious industrial accidents, and creating a worker-centered safe work environment.

After obtaining the 'KOSHA 18001' certification from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency in 2019, Booyoung Group transitioned to certification under the safety and health management system (KOSHA-MS). The company has maintained its certification for six consecutive years, having received a "suitable" rating in the triennial safety and health management system certification renewal assessment.
