S.I.VILLAGE Rebrands as Shinsegae V... Hosts 'V Festa' for Ten Days

Contains the meaning of 'VERY', representing the essence of Shinsegae
The largest event of the first half, 'Shinsegae V Festa', also underway

On June 13, Shinsegae International announced that it has changed the brand name of its digital platform S.I.VILLAGE, which marks its 10th anniversary this year, to 'Shinsegae V (SHINSEGAE V)'. To celebrate this, the company will hold the 'Shinsegae V Festa', offering the biggest benefits of the first half of the year for ten days until the 22nd.

Shinsegae International explained that it changed the brand name to Shinsegae V in order to strengthen its identity and increase brand awareness through a more intuitive and concise name. The previous name, S.I.VILLAGE, reflected the idea of integrating various brands operated by Shinsegae International into a single village. However, as the company now manages more than 2,000 brands in addition to its own, the change was made to emphasize scalability and diversity.


The new brand name, Shinsegae V, is a combination of the core word 'Shinsegae' and the 'V' from 'Village'. It also carries the meaning of 'VERY', as in 'very me, very Shinsegae'.


Through this rebranding, Shinsegae V aims to solidify its status as Korea's leading luxury platform, where customers can experience Shinsegae's unique perspective. The concept, 'VERY ME, VERY SHINSEGAE', reflects the company's plan to create a space where trend leaders with distinctive tastes can gather. To support this, Shinsegae V will unveil campaign visuals and videos featuring nine influential trend leaders, including fashion models Shin Hyunji and Park Sungjin.


Along with the rebranding, the company has significantly improved its UX/UI. The previously complex categories?such as beauty, apparel, accessories, golf, and kids?have been streamlined into fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. In addition, a new magazine-style curation tab called 'Very Shinsegae' has been introduced, providing in-depth and stylish content on brands, trends, and interests, much like reading a magazine. In the second half of this year, Shinsegae V plans to further enhance its digital innovation by adding new services such as delivery and gift services.


During the event, the first 1,000 customers each day at 2 p.m. will receive 10,000 e-points, totaling 100 million won in shopping support. Twice daily, at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., the first 3,000 customers will each receive a 14% shopping bag coupon and a 7% double coupon, respectively.


There will also be a payback event that returns up to 30% of the final payment amount in e-points. For Shinsegae International brands, customers will receive 30% back in e-points for purchases of 300,000 won or more, and 15% for purchases under 300,000 won. For special brands, up to 15% will be credited regardless of the purchase amount. Additional opportunities include 'Brand Day', which highlights selected brands each day, and 24-hour special deals.


A Shinsegae International Shinsegae V representative stated, "Prior to the platform rebranding, we conducted a comprehensive customer survey to closely analyze brand awareness, favorability, user satisfaction, and areas for improvement, and based the renewal on these findings. Moving forward, we will continue to evolve our services by actively reflecting customer feedback, establishing ourselves as the top luxury digital platform in Korea."
