"Supporting Student Happiness, Rest, and Success" ... National Changwon University Opens 'COSS'

National Changwon University has officially opened and begun operating the Second Student Union Hall 'COSS', which brings together all areas of student counseling and support in one place.

On June 11, National Changwon University announced that it held the plaque unveiling ceremony for 'COSS' and the opening ceremony for the Counseling Center at the Second Student Union Hall.

COSS stands for 'Consultation One Stop Store', which conveys the meaning of a 'department store for listening to students' stories'.

Previously, student support services such as psychological counseling, academic support, career guidance, personnel matters, disability services, education, and military affairs were dispersed across five different buildings on campus. Now, these functions have been consolidated into one location, which serves both as a dedicated space for student counseling and as a relaxation area.

This initiative was pursued following the commitment of President Park Minwon in August last year, who stated that "the university should operate with student success at its core." After the completion of the reconstruction project in February this year, the relocation of the Career Strategy Center, Student Counseling Center, and Human Rights Center, as well as the design of the new plaque and environmental improvements, were completed.

President Park stated, "Through our commitment to and practice of putting students and their success at the center, the Second Student Union Hall has been reborn as COSS, a true space for students."

He added, "We will continue to provide unwavering support so that COSS becomes a successful model?a place where students can find rest, energy, ideas, and inspiration, and where all student counseling functions are consolidated and advanced to support student happiness and success."
