Training for Managers of Infection-Vulnerable Facilities
On June 11, Wanju County held an infection prevention management and psychological healing training session for infection control managers of infection-vulnerable facilities within the county, at the public health center auditorium.
According to the county, this training is conducted annually by the public health center to establish an infection control foundation at infection-vulnerable facilities and to strengthen the county's capacity to respond to infectious diseases.
Representatives and infection control managers from approximately 60 infection-vulnerable facilities in the county, including nursing hospitals, long-term care institutions, and welfare facilities for people with disabilities?where high-risk groups reside and the risk of group infection is high?attended the training.
The North Jeolla Province Infectious Disease Control Support Group conducted lectures focused on practical understanding of infection control, while a hobby and culture instructor provided healing experiences for emotional recovery, helping participants relieve both physical and psychological fatigue. In addition, a Q&A session was held to enhance engagement and allow for discussions on infectious disease prevention and response.
County Governor Yoo Heetae stated, "Strengthening our capacity to respond to infectious diseases is essential not only for the safety of facility users and staff, but also for the safety of all Wanju County residents."
Meanwhile, the county is making efforts to protect residents from emerging infectious diseases by providing infection prevention management training for infection-vulnerable facilities, as well as maintaining a continuous monitoring system, conducting infection control inspections, and implementing quarantine measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
