Daegu Veterans Office and iM Bank Deliver Donation for 80th Anniversary of Liberation 'Independence Memorial Road' Event

The Daegu Regional Office of Veterans Affairs (headed by Kim Jongsul) held a donation ceremony at the iM Bank's Main Branch No. 1 on June 11 to support the '80th Anniversary of Liberation Independence Memorial Road' event.

This donation was arranged by iM Bank (headed by Hwang Byungwoo) in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of liberation. The purpose is to support an event that revisits the footsteps of independence activists by visiting independence movement historical sites and the Independence Hall in the region, and to express gratitude to the families of those who contributed to Korea's independence.

iM Bank has been providing regular annual support for various projects aimed at spreading veterans' culture and enhancing the welfare of veterans' families. In particular, this year, the bank is actively participating in initiatives designed to carry on the spirit of the independence movement and to increase public interest.

At the ceremony, Hwang Byungwoo, President of iM Bank, stated, "I sincerely thank the national patriots who have sacrificed and devoted themselves for the country," adding, "We will continue to contribute to the spread of veterans' culture together with the local community."

Kim Jongsul, Head of the Daegu Regional Office of Veterans Affairs, said, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to iM Bank for their continuous support and warm attention every year," and added, "On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of liberation, we will do our utmost to enhance the welfare of veterans' families and to establish a culture of honoring veterans in daily life together with the public."

The '80th Anniversary of Liberation Independence Memorial Road' event is an experiential historical exploration and gratitude-sharing program in which descendants of independence patriots and local residents participate together. It is scheduled to be held in the second half of this year.
