Dong-A University Officially Launches First Cohort of International Student SNS Supporters 'D-WORLD'

Six International Students from Six Countries Selected
Promoting Dong-A University and Studying Abroad in Busan to Prospective International Students

Dong-A University (President Lee Haeu) announced on June 11 that it recently held the appointment ceremony for the first cohort of its international student SNS supporters, 'D-WORLD'.

The ceremony took place in the university's main conference room, attended by Park Hyuntae, Director of the Office of External and International Affairs, Shin Sukyoung, Head of the International Exchange Division, and international students selected as 'D-WORLD' supporters, among other related personnel.

'D-WORLD' is an SNS promotion supporter group established to boost the recruitment of international students at Dong-A University and enhance its global recognition. The group is responsible for creating and sharing a variety of content in their native languages and in English, covering topics such as campus life, admissions information, and the culture of the Busan area.

The first cohort of D-WORLD consists of six international students selected from six countries: Vietnam, India, Myanmar, Kazakhstan, Iran, and China. They will be active for nine months until February 2025.

The newly appointed supporters are Dinh Thi Than Tam (Vietnam, sophomore in Media and Communication), Vishaka (India, sophomore in Food and Nutrition), Swe Manika (Myanmar, sophomore in Korean Language and Literature), Abisheva Diana (Kazakhstan, sophomore in Convergence Management), Karimi Yeganeh Mina (Iran, freshman in Biomedical Science), and Peng Geum (China, senior in Physical Education).

Dinh Thi Than Tam, a student from Vietnam, said, "Dong-A University respects the potential of each student and provides full support. Through this activity, I hope more international students will come to appreciate the appeal of Dong-A University."

Park Hyuntae, Director of the Office of External and International Affairs, stated, "The activities of the SNS supporter group D-WORLD will play a significant role in attracting international students and enhancing Dong-A University's global brand image. The university will actively support international students so they can participate with pride."

Dong-A University is focusing on expanding its international educational network and attracting international students through a variety of internationalization programs, including the recruitment of government-invited international scholarship students (GKS).
