Gyeongnam Nonghyup Carries Out Yeonghonam Win-Win Cultural Experience and Rural Environment Improvement Project

From June 11 to 12, Gyeongnam Nonghyup carried out the "Yeonghonam Win-Win Cultural Experience and Rural Environment Improvement Project" in the Ilun-myeon area of Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, together with members of the Gyeongnam and Jeonnam branches of the Association of Housewives Who Remember Their Hometowns (hereafter referred to as Goju-mo).

More than 50 people attended the event, including Ryu Gilnyeon, Head of Gyeongnam Nonghyup; Kim Eunkyung, Deputy Head of Jeonnam Nonghyup; Kwon Kyunghwa, Head of the Geoje Nonghyup Branch; Lee Sungkyun, President of Ilun Nonghyup; Ok Bangho, President of Geoje Livestock Nonghyup; Kim Pilun, President of Goju-mo Gyeongnam Branch; Shin Geumsook, President of Goju-mo Jeonnam Branch; as well as city and county branch presidents.


Participants engaged in cultural experiences aimed at Yeonghonam cooperation and carried out rural environment improvement activities. They also reaffirmed their commitment to promoting rice consumption for the balanced development of agriculture and rural communities.


This event was organized as part of the 2025 Gyeongsangnam-do Women's Organization Activity Support Project, aiming to enhance women's social status through urban-rural cooperation and the empowerment of female leaders. The Gyeongnam and Jeonnam branches of Goju-mo hold the Namdo Culture Forum annually, and in its 18th year, it continues to contribute to development and harmony between the Yeongho and Nam regions.


Kim Pilun, President of Goju-mo, stated, "This is a time to foster genuine communication and friendship among female leaders of Yeongho and Nam. We will continue to join forces for the vitality of rural communities and the growth of women's organizations."


Ryu Gilnyeon, Head of Gyeongnam Nonghyup, said, "The Association of Housewives Who Remember Their Hometowns is a leading consumer group representing Nonghyup, playing an important role for agriculture and local communities through various initiatives such as rural environment improvement activities and the breakfast campaign.
