Hangehwa Flower Colony Begins to Bloom
On June 11, Yeonggwang County in Jeonnam Province announced that the colony of Hangehwa flowers, created near Daesin Port along the Baeksu Coastal Road?a representative tourist destination in Yeonggwang?has reached its peak bloom.
The Hangehwa colony was established in 2023, covering an area of approximately 2,933 square meters. Each early summer, the flowers bloom in vivid pinkish-red, creating a spectacular scene as they blend with the coastal landscape and sea breeze.
An official from Yeonggwang County stated, "We hope visitors will find both healing and memorable experiences as they enjoy the Hangehwa flowers set against the backdrop of pristine sea views."
Meanwhile, Yeonggwang County has installed temporary benches and safety fences around the Hangehwa colony to provide convenience and ensure the safety of visitors.
