As a result of the incident, students evacuated to the schoolyard in a commotion, and the school, judging that normal classes could not continue due to the powder spread throughout the hallway, sent the second-year students home early. An emergency text message was sent to parents stating, "Due to fire extinguishers being discharged in the school hallway, it is difficult to proceed with classes, so we are unavoidably sending students home early."

After receiving a 112 emergency call, the police responded and apprehended Student A near the school. It was also reported that at around 1 p.m. on June 9, Student A had sprayed a fire extinguisher in the teachers' office at the same school. Some teachers present in the office at that time complained of headaches.

During the police investigation, Student A stated, "I was angry because the teacher reprimanded me for smoking, so I sprayed the fire extinguisher." The police plan to investigate the detailed circumstances and motive of the incident and will handle the case in accordance with relevant laws. A school official said, "We are considering referring Student A to a disciplinary committee," but added, "It is difficult to comment on specific details."
