Customized NCS, OPIc, and TOEIC SPEAKING Courses
For Youth Aged 19 to 45
Dobong District in Seoul will operate customized training programs this summer to support youth employment. The programs offered include three types: the NCS Problem-Solving Basic and Advanced Course, the OPIc Course, and the TOEIC SPEAKING Course.
The "NCS Problem-Solving Basic and Advanced Course" is a seven-day program. On the first day, there will be a special lecture covering an overview of the NCS and strategies for solving different types of questions. From the second to the seventh day, lectures will be provided on four main areas: communication, problem-solving, resource management, and numeracy. The curriculum covers a wide range of problems, from basic to advanced levels.
The special lecture on the first day will take place on July 7 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. From the second to the seventh day, classes will be held every Wednesday and Friday from July 9 to July 25, also from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at Jaunbong Hall on the 16th floor of Dobong District Office. Each session will accept up to 50 participants, and applicants may choose to attend specific areas of focus.
The OPIc and TOEIC SPEAKING courses, which received positive feedback from participants in January and February, will be expanded this time. The number of participants has been increased from 30 to 40.
The "OPIc" course will be held from July 7 to July 25, with a total of nine sessions every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The "TOEIC SPEAKING" course will run from August 4 to August 20, with a total of seven sessions every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Both courses aim to help participants achieve the "IH/AL" grade, which is recognized as a valid score for employment. Each course will be divided into a morning class (9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) and an afternoon class (2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.), with 10 participants per class. The training will take place on the second floor of the "Ssangridangil Platform Moduon."
Youth aged 19 to 45 residing in Dobong District who wish to participate can apply by referring to the post on the Dobong District Youth Employment Support Center blog. The application period varies for each course, starting one month before and ending seven days before the course begins. If the number of applicants exceeds the available spots, registration may close early.
Oh Unseok, Mayor of Dobong District, said, "We have prepared this customized training to provide practical support to young people struggling with employment difficulties," adding, "We will continue to actively support youth so they can build their capabilities, gain confidence, and move forward toward their dreams in their desired fields."
