The Singapore international culinary competition FHA is one of the world's top three culinary contests hosted by the World Association of Chefs' Societies (WACS), alongside the IKA Culinary Olympics in Germany and the Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg. In the National Team Challenge category, teams are evaluated comprehensively on their culinary skills, teamwork, and creativity. The South Korean national team, consisting of six members including Lotte Hotel Seoul pastry chef Baek Youngsan, ranked in the final TOP 3 in the overall evaluation.
Chef Baek was responsible for several desserts at this competition. He presented three desserts with exotic flavors using ingredients such as raspberry, coconut, and chocolate, as well as plated desserts and sugar art. He received high marks for the harmony of ingredients, sophisticated plating, and technical skills.
Lotte Hotel & Resort will offer these award-winning desserts from the FHA at its buffet restaurants for guests until June 30. They will be available at the dessert corners of 'The View' at Signiel Busan, and 'La Seine' at Lotte Hotel Seoul, World, Jeju, and Busan.
A representative from Lotte Hotel & Resort stated, "This event was prepared to offer a diverse culinary experience for the upcoming summer," and added, "We hope guests will enjoy a special meal accompanied by desserts recognized by culinary experts from around the world."
