This Win-Win Market will be held regularly every month from Monday to Friday of the third week. It aims to provide a stable sales channel for merchants and small business owners who are struggling due to the economic downturn and reduced consumer spending, and to revitalize the local economy.
This month’s Win-Win Market will feature a diverse range of participants, including merchants from Yeongdeungpo Traditional Market, Yeongdeungpo Fruit and Vegetable Market, and Yeongil Market, as well as the Yeongdeungpo Small Business Association, workshop merchants, and cooperatives. Fresh foods such as agricultural, livestock, and marine products, side dishes, fruits, and plants, as well as handmade crafts, clothing, and bags produced by workshops, will be available to visitors at affordable prices. The food booths will also offer a variety of dishes.
In particular, this market will newly welcome friendly and partner cities such as Yanggu County in Gangwon Province and Gurye County in South Jeolla Province, which will offer their local specialties?including salted seafood, wild greens, and sweet potatoes?at reasonable prices. On-site, visitors can also enjoy busking performances and various events designed to capture their attention and interest.
Choi Hogwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, “The district is taking the lead to support traditional market merchants and small business owners who are struggling due to the ongoing economic downturn since last year. We hope that visitors to the Win-Win Market will find great shopping opportunities, and that participating merchants will gain a foothold to expand their sales channels.”
