Gwangju Bank announced on June 10 that it held the 'Moonlight Alliance Exchange Event' together with iM Bank (formerly Daegu Bank) for the mutual development and harmony of Yeonghonam.
Now in its eighth year, the 'Moonlight Alliance Volunteer Activity' is part of the 'Moonlight Alliance,' a partnership between Gwangju (Bitgoeul) and Daegu (Dalgubeol) for friendly cooperation. As part of this alliance, both regions regularly visit each other to engage in various exchange activities, including volunteer work and cultural experiences.
This year's event was attended by more than 60 executives and employees from both banks, including Ko Byungil, President of Gwangju Bank, and Hwang Byungwoo, President of iM Bank. The event featured a variety of activities to strengthen cooperation and unity between the two institutions, such as volunteering to prepare 'Moonlight Packages' for vulnerable groups, making traditional Damyang sweets with a master artisan, and hanging wish plaques to express hopes for the joint development of the local community.
The 'Moonlight Packages,' which include local specialties such as Yugwa and Gangjeong, were prepared by employees of Gwangju Bank and iM Bank and will be delivered to vulnerable households in Damyang County, Jeollanam-do.
Ko Byungil, President of Gwangju Bank, said, "The Moonlight Alliance Exchange Event reflects our commitment to creating greater social value through cooperation among regional financial institutions," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in building positive bonds between regions and fostering a society that grows together through ongoing exchange and collaboration in various fields."
