The Chungnam Provincial Office of Education announced that it would conduct human rights education training sessions (Baeumjari) for approximately 350 elementary and middle school human rights education coordinators. The sessions are scheduled to take place on the afternoon of June 9 at the Asan CAMCO Human Resources Development Center and on June 12 at the Gongju Education Training Institute, with the aim of strengthening the practical competencies of teachers in human rights education.

The training introduced various topics, including school curricula based on student rights, the importance of human rights for everyone, and examples of human rights education practices in schools.

In particular, the sessions featured lectures and presentations on exemplary cases, such as "Human Rights Education Practices That Bring Us Together" and "A Spoonful of Human Rights Added to the Classroom," utilizing materials developed and distributed by the Student Human Rights Center. These included various case studies and best practices for operating school-specific human rights weeks and conducting related classes.

Kwon Suntak, Director of the Democratic Citizenship Education Division at the provincial office, stated, "Through this Baeumjari training, we hope that human rights education will be promoted even more actively in schools in celebration of 'Chungcheongnam-do Student Human Rights Day' and 'Student Human Rights Week' on July 10." He added, "We will strive to create a human rights-friendly school culture that respects the rights of everyone in the educational community, working toward building schools where everyone can be happy."
