Coupang Play and Genie TV to Produce "UDT: Our Neighborhood Special Forces"

Yoon Kyesang and Jin Seonkyu to Star in Action Comedy Drama

Yoon Kyesang and Jin Seonkyu, who starred together in the film "The Outlaws," will reunite in an action comedy drama.

On June 10, Coupang Play and Genie TV announced that they will produce a new drama titled "UDT: Our Neighborhood Special Forces." The series will depict the cheerful joint operations of former special forces soldiers who come together for their families and their neighborhood. Filming will begin later this month, and the show will be released in the second half of this year on Coupang Play, Genie TV, and ENA.

Yoon Kyesang will play Choi Kang, a former JDD special operations unit member who now works as an insurance investigator. Jin Seonkyu will portray Kwak Byeongnam, a former HID counterterrorism unit member who currently runs a hardware and stationery store and serves as the head of the youth association in Changridung.

Other cast members include Kim Jihyun, Go Gyupil, and Lee Jeongha, who will work alongside them. Kim Jihyun will play Jeong Namyeon, the owner of the local supermarket; Go Gyupil will play Lee Yonghee, the director of a special martial arts dojang; and Lee Jeongha will portray Park Junghwan, an engineering student attending university in Seoul.

Writer Ban Giri, known for the drama "Missing: The Other Side," will participate as creator, while director Jo Woong of "Gentle Sales" will helm the project.
