The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) is hosting the 'Starlight Library Cultural Performance Visiting Schools' throughout this month at eight local elementary schools, offering students and parents a special cultural experience and the joy of reading.
This event consists of two reading-related programs: 'Secret Library' and 'The Balloon Chef's Fairy Tale Stories.' Familiar fairy tales will be newly reinterpreted and presented through magic, video, shadow play, media art, and balloon art.
The Starlight Library Cultural Performance will take place at 7 p.m. at the following schools: Suseong Elementary School (June 12), Gapyeong Elementary School (June 17), Baegun Elementary School (June 18), Haegang Elementary School (June 19), Bosu Elementary School (June 20), Ilgwang Elementary School (June 23), Deokseong Elementary School (June 24), and Geumgok Elementary School (June 26). Both students and parents are welcome to participate.
Superintendent Kim Seokjun stated, "Through this performance, I hope students will become more familiar with books and that a family reading culture will spread. We will continue our efforts to establish the Starlight Library as a local cultural hub."
