"Simplified Consent Process,
Enhanced Security Measures"
Shinhan Card announced on June 10 that it will launch its 'MyData 2.0' service and hold related events on June 19.
Shinhan Card's MyData service collects customers' scattered information and enables fast and accurate management of assets and spending. With the launch of MyData 2.0, customer convenience has been further enhanced.
First, the consent process for asset inquiry and connection has been simplified. The waiting time for connecting to financial institutions has been reduced, and the restriction on the number of financial institutions that can be viewed at once has been removed. In addition, data on dormant deposits and insurance payments has been added, allowing customers to find hidden funds.
Furthermore, the validity period for enrollment has been extended to five years, eliminating the inconvenience of annual renewals. Measures have also been implemented to suspend data transmission or delete information depending on the period of inactivity.
On the Shinhan Card MyData 'My Assets' screen, customers can view all financial institution accounts at once. The service also provides one-stop banking, allowing immediate transfers using open banking from these accounts.
On the 'My Spending' screen, customers can view detailed information by payment method, including credit cards, debit cards, and Pay (simple payment) services. Monthly and weekly spending reports are provided based on individual consumption analysis.
The financial calendar offers a 'Smart Notification' service that informs customers of daily deposits and withdrawals, transaction details, automatic transfer schedules, and product maturity dates. If the account balance is insufficient before a card payment date, notifications help customers manage their credit.
Additionally, services such as credit score improvement, personalized card recommendations based on spending pattern analysis, and recommendations for loan products from various financial institutions have been added.
Shinhan Card plans to further advance MyData 2.0 by providing reports with enhanced spending trend analysis and notification services that encourage sound spending habits.
A MyData 2.0 launch event will also be held. From this day until June 18, customers can sign up for launch event notifications through pre-registration. Starting June 19, customers who enter the event and connect their MyData assets will be eligible to win prizes: 1 million MyShinhan Points for two first-prize winners, 100,000 points for ten second-prize winners, and 50,000 points for fifty third-prize winners. Prizes will be awarded to a total of approximately 12,000 participants.
Shinhan Card launched its MyData service in December 2021, and currently 8 million people are enrolled in the service.
