Two 10-Day, 9-Night Programs in June
Local Experiences and Content Creation
Cheongyang County in South Chungcheong Province announced that it will fully launch the "Cheongyang One-Month Stay Tourism" program, a residency-style tourism initiative, in connection with the "2025-2026 Visit Chungnam Years." The county aims to expand local cultural experiences for young people and promote tourism that encourages longer stays.
Under the theme of "Alternate Character Healing Tour," the first session will run until the 15th, and the second session will be held from the 20th to the 29th. The program is designed to help young people step away from their daily routines and discover new sides of themselves in unfamiliar environments.
For each session, eight participants aged 19 to 35 will stay in Cheongyang for 10 days and 9 nights, gaining a deeper understanding of the region through a variety of experiences.
Participants will engage in activities that foster interaction with the local community, including a visit to the Cheonjangho Suspension Bridge?a major tourist attraction in Cheongyang?seasonal agricultural harvest experiences, networking with young entrepreneurs, and participation in local events.
In particular, participants will take on the role of "chefs" as their alternate character, cooking with Cheongyang's specialty products and gaining hands-on experience by selling their dishes at the "Star Market Night."
They will also be given content creation missions, such as writing blog travel reviews, producing social media content, creating videos longer than three minutes, and making short-form videos of about one minute. The promotional content they produce will be posted on the Chungnam Tourism website and other platforms, helping to showcase Cheongyang's appeal nationwide.
Last year, participants produced a total of 51 pieces of content, making a tangible contribution to local promotion.
The county plans to establish a sustainable regional tourism model through distinctive content that harmonizes nature, agriculture, and the local community.
A county official stated, "We hope that many young people will experience the true charm of Cheongyang by staying in the region through this Cheongyang One-Month Stay program," adding, "We will continue our efforts to make Cheongyang a place where people want to stay and a destination they wish to revisit."
