Goyang to Launch Late-Night Bus N999 Linked to Last Subway Trains Starting June 12

Late-Night Bus N999 to Operate in Coordination with Last Subway Trains
Enhanced Public Transportation Convenience for Goyang Residents
Service Introduced in Response to Complaints About Limited Late-Night Options

Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Donghwan) announced on June 10 that, starting from June 12, it will operate the late-night bus route N999 in coordination with the last subway trains, in order to enhance convenience for citizens using public transportation.

There have been ongoing complaints about the lack of public transportation options available after the last train bound for Daehwa departs from Gupabal Station on Subway Line 3. In response, the city is introducing this late-night route as a solution.

This late-night route will operate as a branch of the existing city bus line 999, with two of the final 999 departures being operated as the N999 late-night route.

Following the Subway Line 3 route, the bus will travel from Daehwa Station to Daegok Station, Hwajeong Station, and Samsong Station, before turning around at Gupabal Station. It will operate only on weekdays, making two round trips per night. The interval between departures is 20 to 30 minutes.

Based on the last train bound for Daehwa from Gupabal Station (departing at 00:07), the bus will turn around, providing public transportation convenience for Goyang residents returning home from Seoul during late-night hours.

In particular, following the discontinuation of Seoul Bus 773, this new service is expected to partially address the shortage of connecting buses during late-night hours after the last train on Subway Line 3. It is also expected to provide connections after the last GTX-A train (departing at 00:50) at Daegok Station.

Goyang Special City plans to continuously monitor passenger trends on the late-night bus and make improvements as needed.
