Gyeonggi Province Appoints Kang Minseok as Spokesperson and Lee Eunho as Director of Media Cooperation

Gyeonggi Province has appointed Kang Minseok, former spokesperson for the Presidential Office under the Moon Jae-in administration, as its new spokesperson. In addition, Lee Eunho, former policy adviser to the Minister of Employment and Labor, has been named Director of Media Cooperation; Cho Sangki, former policy adviser to the Ministers of Strategy and Finance and Employment and Labor, has been appointed Director of Labor Rights and Interests; and Kim Junghoon, former aide to a National Assembly member, has been selected as Director of Communications and Cooperation.


On June 10, Gyeonggi Province announced that Governor Kim Dongyeon presented appointment letters to these individuals at the provincial government office.


Spokesperson Kang Minseok previously served as spokesperson for the Presidential Office during the Moon Jae-in administration, as well as spokesperson for the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and the Democratic Party's Central Election Committee. From July last year to April this year, he also served as Gyeonggi Province spokesperson.

Director of Media Cooperation Lee Eunho, a former policy adviser to the Minister of Employment and Labor, has been responsible for media relations in Gyeonggi Province, including serving in the governor's secretariat and as Director of Media Cooperation since 2022. Both Spokesperson Kang and Director Lee resigned in April to support Governor Kim Dongyeon in the Democratic Party's presidential primary.


Director of Labor Rights and Interests Cho Sangki is an expert in the labor field, having served as policy adviser to the Ministers of Strategy and Finance and Employment and Labor. Since 2023, he has led the Labor Rights and Interests Department for two years, working to protect the rights of Gyeonggi Province workers, support platform workers, and improve welfare for vulnerable laborers.


Director of Communications and Cooperation Kim Junghoon is recognized as an expert in communication and cooperation, with over 20 years of experience as a National Assembly aide.


Gyeonggi Province plans to strengthen communication with the provincial council by recruiting experts with extensive experience as National Assembly aides, at a time when smooth cooperation with the council is particularly important.
