Gyeonggi Research Institute Holds Integrity Pledge Ceremony on June 9

The Gyeonggi Research Institute held the '2025 Integrity Pledge Ceremony' at its headquarters in Jangan-gu, Suwon on June 9.

At the ceremony, Kang Sungcheon, president of the Gyeonggi Research Institute, along with department heads, signed the prepared pledge. The president also delivered a message of commitment to fair public service to all employees.

The integrity pledge consists of eight anti-corruption provisions: compliance with laws and principles, prioritizing the public interest, prohibition of abuse of authority, prohibition of receiving gifts or entertainment, exclusion of undue external interference, use of budgets for intended purposes, encouragement of internal whistleblowing, and compliance with conflict-of-interest laws. It also includes six provisions related to fair trade compliance: fair and transparent business practices, compliance with regulations, efforts to minimize risks, prohibition of abuse of authority, obligation to report violations, and active participation in voluntary compliance.

Following the pledge ceremony, the Gyeonggi Research Institute held a plogging event (jogging while collecting litter) to promote a culture of integrity.

Participants from resident organizations, such as the Gyeonggi Foundation for Women and Family and the Gyeonggi Welfare Foundation, also joined the plogging event.

After the plogging activity, participants received a reward of 2,000 points, which can be used as cash through the Gyeonggi-do Climate Action Opportunity Income app.

Meanwhile, last year, the Gyeonggi Research Institute was the only public institution in Gyeonggi-do to receive the highest rating, Grade 1, in the comprehensive integrity assessment of Gyeonggi-do public institutions.
