This campaign, which will run for 35 days starting from June 11, is themed 'Kind Seo-gu! Kind Sharing! Kind Companionship!' and was organized to provide practical heatwave response supplies to neighbors in welfare blind spots, such as low-income households and energy-vulnerable families within Seo-gu.

To this end, the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea provided cooling supplies such as electric fans and summer blankets worth 50 million KRW, along with an additional 40 million KRW in project funds to enable each neighborhood's welfare council to autonomously conduct customized heatwave support projects, totaling more than 90 million KRW in support.

At the launching ceremony, more than 50 people, including Kim Ikang, mayor of Seo-gu, Park Cheolhong, president of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, and the chairpersons of the community welfare councils from 18 neighborhoods, personally packed and delivered 'Summer Survival Kits' for residents vulnerable to heatwaves, including messages of encouragement. In addition, the Gwangju Seo-gu Christian Council delivered a donation of 5 million KRW at the event, further adding to the spirit of sharing.

Park Cheolhong, president of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, stated, "With the climate crisis intensifying, heatwaves have become a matter of survival for energy-vulnerable households," and added, "I hope this sharing campaign will provide a cool summer to even more neighbors."

Kim Ikang, mayor of Seo-gu, said, "This campaign goes beyond simply distributing supplies; it is a practice of solidarity created together by the local community," and continued, "We will continue to realize 'kind welfare' without welfare blind spots based on public-private cooperation."
