Theborn Korea Shifts to Sole CEO System Under Jongwon Baek: "Do-or-Die Determination"

Kang Seokwon Resigns as CEO, Remains as Internal Director
Strategic Planning Division Established and External Professional Managers Recruited

Theborn Korea will transition to a sole CEO system under Jongwon Baek.

On June 9, Theborn Korea announced that it would shift from a co-CEO system with Jongwon Baek and Kang Seokwon to a sole CEO system under Jongwon Baek. This change is due to the resignation of CEO Kang Seokwon. However, Kang will remain as an internal director.

Theborn Korea explained that the decision to change the leadership structure was made to resolve issues of delayed decision-making and unclear accountability that arose under the co-CEO system. CEO Baek will now take full charge of overall management at Theborn Korea.

Theborn Korea plans to establish a Strategic Planning Division directly under the CEO to lead integrated risk response, management efficiency, and the reorganization of management systems. This division will serve as a 'control tower,' playing a central role in global market expansion and the discovery of new businesses, and turning current crises into opportunities.

Theborn Korea has also recruited external professional managers to lead the quality, franchise, and distribution management sectors, aiming to fundamentally improve recent controversies over country-of-origin labeling, food safety, and franchise management. The company will delegate authority to these professional managers in each sector to establish a 'responsible management system,' with the goal of achieving on-site reforms and restoring customer trust.

Theborn Korea will expand its dedicated quality and food safety management team, split the franchise business division into two, and launch a coexistence committee. Additionally, the company will establish a new organization dedicated to overseas product planning and export. Furthermore, to strengthen the foundation of ethical management and restore internal and external trust, Theborn Korea has established audit, public relations, and information security teams.

CEO Baek emphasized, "This crisis is a stern warning that we must remain true to our fundamentals," and added, "With a do-or-die determination, I will drive innovation and growth for the company."
