The competition offers a total prize pool of 40 million won and is divided into futures and options leagues. Awards will be given weekly for both return rate and profit categories. Over the eight weeks, a total of 96 participants will be selected for first to third place in each category.
Each week, the first-place winner will receive 500,000 won, the second-place winner 300,000 won, and the third-place winner 200,000 won. The maximum prize amount a single customer can receive is 3 million won.
Additionally, to commemorate the introduction of nighttime trading in the Korea Exchange (KRX) derivatives market, there will be a special event. Among customers who trade at least one contract of nighttime futures or options, 200 will be randomly selected to receive a mobile gift certificate worth 30,000 won.
The newly introduced KRX derivatives market nighttime trading is operated directly by the Korea Exchange, rather than through the previous overseas exchange (Eurex) linkage method. Trading is available for a total of 12 hours, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Furthermore, customers trading through Kiwoom Securities' online platforms (HeroS 4, HeroS G, HeroS SF+) can receive a temporary exemption from associated institution fees.
Kiwoom Securities is also running another event, offering a fee coupon worth 50,000 won to the first 2,000 customers who pre-register for risk disclosure. The coupon will be distributed in early August and can be used for both daytime and nighttime trading.
A representative from Kiwoom Securities said, "To celebrate the introduction of KRX nighttime trading, we have prepared events that offer practical benefits to investors. We hope you will experience active trading and various benefits even at night through Kiwoom Securities' convenient trading system."
