Imsil County Health and Medical Center announced on the 9th that it will hold a campaign on the 11th to commemorate Oral Health Day under the slogan "80 Years of Oral Health Together, Companion of the 100-Year Era."

According to the county, this campaign has been organized to mark the 80th Oral Health Day (June 9) and aims to raise awareness about the importance of oral health. The campaign will also provide education on proper tooth brushing techniques and the use of oral hygiene products.

Oral Health Day is observed on June 9, combining the number '6,' which represents the age when the first permanent molar erupts, and '9,' which stands for molar (gu-chi), symbolizing the importance of maintaining healthy permanent teeth for lifelong use.

In addition to the campaign, the county will provide oral examinations and fluoride application services to elementary schools in the area to promote the practice of healthy oral care habits. Starting with the Imsil Northern Senior Welfare Center, the county will also conduct oral health education programs for seniors at local welfare centers and community centers.

Kim Daegon, Director of the Health and Medical Center, said, "Through the 80th Oral Health Day commemorative week event, I hope local residents will once again recognize the importance of oral health and that it will help establish proper oral health habits."
