The quantity to be purchased was determined by taking into account the actual number of vaccinations administered during the previous season (2024-2025), the target vaccination rate for the upcoming season (2025-2026), and the results of demand surveys conducted by local governments.

Six companies were selected as vaccine suppliers in order of the lowest price offered through a public notice by the Public Procurement Service: Sanofi-Aventis Korea, Boryung Biopharma, GC, SK Bioscience, Korea Vaccine, and Ilyang Pharmaceutical. The contract price was set between 9,339 and 9,660 won per dose (including distribution costs and value-added tax).

Ji Youngmi, Commissioner of the KDCA, stated, "We will do our utmost to ensure safe immunization by conducting thorough on-site inspections of storage facilities and transport equipment (including transport containers and vehicles) for the contracted suppliers prior to vaccine delivery."
